Lahore: On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were conducted across the province to foster discipline, unity, and alertness among police personnel. Senior police officers inspected the parades while contingents from various police units presented salutes.
Participants included officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, Special Protection Unit, Ladies Police, Operations Command Unit, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing. The inspection included a review of the turnout of officers and personnel.
The parades, held every Monday, featured contingents performing a march-past, with female personnel also taking part. District officers conducted inspections of the armoury, motor transport wing, uniform warehouse, and other departments.
Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of these parades in maintaining fitness and discipline within the force. He noted that the parades are a reflection of the police force’s history, heritage, and tradition.
