Punjab Police Crackdown On Organized Crime, 30 Arrested

Islamabad: Punjab Police have launched a major crackdown on organized crime across the province, arresting 30 members of 12 different gangs in the last 24 hours. The operation, which includes the provincial capital Lahore, has yielded a significant haul of weapons, ammunition, vehicles, cash, and other items.

A police spokesperson revealed that the confiscated items include 95 firearms, including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Authorities also seized three vehicles, 15 motorcycles, 17 mobile phones, five cattle, and one million rupees in cash.

In addition to the gang arrests, the police apprehended 257 proclaimed offenders, 84 court absconders, and 25 individuals with a history of criminal activity. During these operations, five suspects were killed and 10 were injured and taken into custody. The Inspector General of Punjab Police has ordered the intensified continuation of these operations against criminal elements.
