Lahore: Punjab Police are intensifying their efforts against organized crime syndicates across the province, resulting in the arrest of 32 individuals linked to 15 different gangs within the last 24 hours. In a significant operation, authorities seized an array of weapons and stolen goods from the suspects.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, the crackdown led to the recovery of 126 firearms, including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition. These items were confiscated from those apprehended during the raids.
In addition to the firearms, police also recovered 29 stolen motorcycles, 31 mobile phones, 2 tolas of gold, and cash totaling 2 million rupees from the suspects. These findings are part of a broader effort to dismantle criminal networks operating within the region.
The operations also resulted in two criminals being brought to justice. Nine individuals sustained injuries, and seven others were arrested during these actions. The Inspector General of Punjab Police has issued directives to maintain the momentum of these operations, emphasizing the need for continued efforts against criminal activities.
This crackdown is part of a larger initiative by Punjab Police to address organized crime and improve safety across the province.
