LAHORE, Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General Police (IGP) of Punjab, has released a video message detailing the imminent eviction of illegal immigrants from Pakistani territory. He emphasized the universal right of nations to safeguard their borders and deport illegal immigrants as per established regulations.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar highlighted that the Pakistani state had previously notified these illegal immigrants to vacate the country. Beginning today, the deportation of these foreign nationals will commence in adherence to a coordinated policy and comprehensive strategy set by the Government of Pakistan. This operation will follow a pre-determined schedule, targeting illegal immigrants in cities throughout the nation.
IGP Dr. Anwar assured that teams assigned to this task will uphold human rights during the eviction process. Furthermore, he informed that 25 lakh surveillance cameras have been strategically positioned across Punjab. An impressive two lakh-strong Punjab Police force is also on standby, ready to carry out these evictions per the government’s guidelines.
In his message, Dr. Anwar noted that each district has been allocated specific dates for the evacuation process. Any individual possessing legitimate residency documentation or authorization to stay in Pakistan will not be questioned. Multiple agencies, including law enforcement departments, intelligence agencies, special branches, and district administrations, will be involved to ensure a rigorous implementation of the government’s policy.
The Punjab Government will closely monitor this evacuation process to ensure its smooth execution. Dr. Anwar has called upon the citizens to assist by reporting any suspected illegal immigrants in their vicinity to the police. With an extensive database and intelligence reports in place, the Punjab Police are aware of the presence of these immigrants. It’s also observed that a significant number of these foreign migrants have already initiated their exit to avert potential complications.
IG Punjab concluded by stating that the eviction process will be swiftly completed, ensuring that no unauthorized immigrants remain or enter Pakistan in the future.
