Islamabad: Punjab Police buildings across Lahore and the province are illuminated to mark both Independence Day and the victory in “Maarka-e-Haq.” A spokesperson for the provincial police force explained the illuminations serve as a tribute to the leaders and individuals who sacrificed for the nation’s freedom.
The eye-catching displays adorn police stations, offices, and other facilities throughout Punjab. Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, affirmed the force’s full participation in Independence Day festivities. He commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their valor and sacrifices in protecting the nation, emphasizing the police force’s continued support.
Dr. Anwar highlighted the Punjab Police’s role alongside the armed forces, from achieving to safeguarding independence. Flag-hoisting ceremonies and salutes by police contingents are planned at police facilities across the province on Independence Day. The Inspector General encouraged citizens to celebrate with patriotic fervor while upholding national values and traditions. He assured the public of comprehensive security arrangements for Independence Day events.
