Punjab Police Chief Takes Personal Interest in Welfare of Force and Their Families


Lahore, In a compassionate move aimed at addressing the needs and concerns of the police force and their families, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar personally met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office. Following these meetings, Dr. Anwar issued several orders to provide immediate relief based on the applications submitted, underscoring his commitment to the welfare of the police community.



According to Punjab Police, the IG’s actions included a variety of directives aimed at supporting the personnel and their families in tangible ways. Among the notable decisions were the provision of educational assistance for the children of Class IV employee Rubina Bibi, the allocation of official quarters to Ghazi Constable Saifullah, and steps to address individual grievances like the removal of a Traffic Assistant Hussam’s son from the CRO list. Additionally, the IG ordered the review and action on various requests ranging from recruitment to the provision of plots for the families of fallen and serving police officers.



The series of directives issued by Dr. Anwar covered a wide spectrum of welfare aspects, including housing, education, health, and employment opportunities for the families of the police personnel. For instance, the recruitment application of the wife of Mehboob Masih was forwarded for necessary action, while priority was given to the request for a plot provision by the daughter of Constable Saeed Ahmed Shaheed. Moreover, financial support was sanctioned for the medical treatment of a constable’s wife, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to welfare.



Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the well-being of the police force and their families remains a top priority, instructing all officers to take swift action on requests and report back to the Central Police Office. This initiative reflects a leadership style focused on immediate and practical support for the police community, reinforcing the message that the welfare of the force and their families is paramount.
