Punjab Police Chief Orders Swift Justice After Four Murders in Gujranwala

Gujranwala: Following the tragic murder of four individuals in Gujranwala due to a longstanding feud, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has demanded swift action. The incident, which heightened local tensions, led the provincial police chief to call for an immediate report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Gujranwala and to direct the City Police Officer (CPO) to arrest those responsible.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 16 September 2024, the assailants targeted Ahmad, Hamid, Azhar, and Amanat, opening fire due to a prolonged enmity. Police teams have been mobilized and are currently pursuing the culprits with the intent to bring them to justice promptly, ensuring that the victims’ families see the perpetrators held accountable.
