Punjab Police Chief Honors Top Crime Fighters in Gujranwala


Gujranwala, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, recognized the exemplary performance of police officers in the Gujranwala region with certificates of appreciation and cash awards. The ceremony, held at the Central Police Office today, celebrated the achievements of officers who have excelled in tackling high-profile criminal cases.



According to Punjab Police, the event was marked by the awarding of honors to teams from various districts including Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujarat, and Mandi Bahauddin. Dr. Anwar commended the officers for their diligent efforts in solving cases involving murder, dacoity, and kidnapping for ransom. Among the notable awardees were Inspector Ansar Javed, who was recognized for his role in apprehending culprits behind a fatal robbery on the Chenab Bridge, and Sub Inspector Arsalan Asghar, who utilized modern technology to solve a robbery and murder case.



Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of using modern technology to enhance police effectiveness against organized crime. He stated that the human resource of Punjab Police is its greatest asset, and maintaining close communication within the force can lead to significant operational successes.



The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Additional IG Establishment Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry and DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, who collectively voiced their commitment to continuing recognition of outstanding police work at all levels.
