Punjab Police Chief Holds Open Court to Address Public and Personnel Grievances

LAHORE, In a significant outreach effort, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conducted an open court session at the Central Police Office. During this session, he directly engaged with the grievances of both citizens and police employees, ensuring immediate orders for relief were issued.

According to Punjab Police reports that IG Punjab Dr. Anwar insisted on merit-based resolutions and emphasized the necessity of the District Police Officers (DPOs) to diligently address public issues under their jurisdiction. He conveyed that any form of delay or negligence would be deemed unacceptable.

Additionally, the concerns of police officials and their families were taken into account, with Dr. Anwar mandating prompt resolutions to their requests related to welfare, postings, and disciplinary matters. He also highlighted the ongoing availability of the open court for daily grievance redressal and encouraged citizens to utilize the 1787 helpline for submitting complaints.
