Punjab Police Chief Allocates Over Rs. 1.5 Million for Health Care of Officers and Families

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken significant steps to enhance the health welfare of police personnel and their families by allocating more than 1.5 million rupees for their medical treatments. This financial support covers officers across various districts, including Lahore, and is part of a broader commitment to the well-being of the force.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 20 September 2024, the disbursements include significant amounts such as 500,000 rupees for Head Constable Muhammad Asif from Bahawalpur for treatment of physical disabilities and other ailments, and 300,000 rupees for ASI Adil Ahmed from Chakwal for major surgery. Other beneficiaries include PHP’s Adnan Aslam and Head Constable Muhammad Imran from the Telecommunication department, who received 100,000 rupees each for health care needs, including treatment for Imran’s wife.

The funding extends to Constable Muhammad Asghar Chishti from Pakpattan and Shahid Akhtar from Rawalpindi, with each receiving 100,000 rupees for their medical expenses. Additionally, ASI Ghulam Muhammad’s wife and Constable Mian Muhammad Saqib Mohsin were each granted 50,000 rupees for their treatments. These funds were allocated following a thorough review by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee to ensure they were directed to those most in need within the police force.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized the ongoing commitment to the health welfare of police employees and their families, indicating that further measures will be taken to continue supporting their health needs effectively.
