Lahore: The Punjab Police has announced the allocation of an additional 2.125 million rupees for the medical treatment of its personnel and their families, underscoring its commitment to their health and welfare. This initiative, led by Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, aims to enhance medical support for police employees and their loved ones.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the funds will be distributed among several personnel. Sub-Inspector Shafqat Ali will receive 500,000 rupees for medical treatment, while retired Inspector Ashfaq Ahmad and Constable Nadeem Abbas have been granted 300,000 rupees and 250,000 rupees, respectively, for cancer treatment.
Additionally, ASI Khurram Shahzad has been allocated 200,000 rupees for medical expenses. Sub-Inspector Furqan Ahmad and Head Constable Muhammad Nadeem will each receive 100,000 rupees.
The police spokesperson also noted that the spouse of Shaheed Constable Niaz Ahmad and Driver Constable Maqsood Ahmad are each set to receive 100,000 rupees for medical care. A total of 475,000 rupees has been earmarked for the medical needs of retired ASI Riyasat Ali, Driver Constable Muhammad Ashraf, Constable Aba Hussain, and Constable Muhammad Ashraf.
The funds were approved by IG Punjab Dr. Anwar following a review by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Anwar emphasized that the Punjab Police is committed to providing optimal medical facilities through agreements with various institutions.
