Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:The Punjab Police’s intensified campaign against proclaimed offenders, led by Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, has resulted in the arrest of another offender from the United Arab Emirates. Babar Hussain, who fled to the UAE four years ago after involvement in robberies, has now been repatriated to Pakistan, taking the total tally of such arrests from abroad to 126.
After receiving red notices from Interpol and consistent follow-up, Hussain was captured and has since been handed over to the Jhelum Police for further proceedings. IG Punjab commended the police team on the arrest, urging swift legal action and insisting on an amplified crackdown against dangerous offenders involved in severe crimes.
