Punjab Police Arrests Over 5,000 Members of Organized Gangs in Province-Wide Crackdown


Lahore: Punjab Police have reported significant progress in their ongoing operations against organized crime throughout the province, resulting in the arrest of 5,367 members of 2,104 gangs this year. According to Punjab Police, these operations have led to the recovery of stolen property worth over Rs. 1 billion, including vehicles, mobile phones, and gold.



The operations, as detailed by a spokesperson from Punjab Police, have been focused on dismantling organized crime syndicates, with significant seizures of illegal weapons, including 327 Kalashnikovs and 639 rifles. In addition to firearms, authorities recovered 166 vehicles, 3,502 motorcycles, and 1,759 cattle. The Inspector General of Punjab Police, Abdul Kareem, emphasized the importance of these operations in ensuring the safety and security of residents across the province.
