Punjab Police Arrest Proclaimed Offender Arslan Ali at Airport Amid International Crackdown

Lahore, In an ongoing effort against dangerous proclaimed offenders, Punjab Police arrested another individual, Arslan Ali, at the airport as he attempted to flee the country following a murder.

According to a news release by the Punjab Police, under the guidance of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the police have consistently targeted offenders, leading to the arrest of Arslan Ali. Ali, after committing the murder, was trying to leave Pakistan. Acting on intelligence, his details were promptly added to the Provisional National Identification List. A coordinated effort between the Punjab Police, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and other related agencies ensured Ali’s capture at the air terminal before he could board his outbound flight. He is now in custody and will be handed over to the appropriate district police.

The spokesperson for the Punjab Police revealed that this year alone, they have managed to arrest 128 dangerous proclaimed offenders from regions including America, Europe, Africa, and Gulf countries, subsequently extraditing them back to Pakistan.

Inspector General Punjab lauded the efforts of the Special Operation Cell Gujranwala in apprehending an “A category” dangerous offender. He emphasized the need for swift legal proceedings and urged continued collaboration with the FIA, Interpol, and other related agencies to further detain dangerous proclaimed offenders.
