Lahore, in a continued effort to apprehend fugitive criminals involved in advertising fraud, Punjab Police have successfully arrested another individual from Saudi Arabia. This arrest is part of an accelerated crackdown led by Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar.
According to Punjab Police, the suspect, Abdul Ghaffar, who was wanted by the Bahawalnagar police, had fled to Saudi Arabia following his involvement in a criminal incident. The Punjab Police, after issuing a red notice through Interpol, managed to track and apprehend Ghaffar. Upon his return to Pakistan, the Bahawalnagar police took him into custody at the airport.
The spokesman for the Punjab Police highlighted that with this recent arrest, the total number of advertising criminals apprehended from foreign countries this year has risen to 144. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of expediting the legal process to ensure that the criminal faces justice. He also instructed those efforts be intensified to arrest dangerous advertisers wanted in serious cases.
This operation demonstrates the Punjab Police’s commitment to pursuing and bringing to justice individuals involved in advertising-related crimes, regardless of their location.
