Punjab Police Apprehends Proclaimed Offender Shah Jahan at Airport

Lahore, The relentless crackdown by the Punjab Police against proclaimed offenders has led to the arrest of Shah Jahan, an individual who had previously fled to Dubai. This move comes under the directive of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. With this arrest, the count of criminals apprehended from abroad this year stands at 127.

According to Punjab Police, Shah Jahan had evaded to the United Arab Emirates following his involvement in a fatal altercation four years prior. Persistent efforts by Punjab Police resulted in Interpol issuing red notices for his capture. As he tried to make his way abroad again, an alert in the inter-border management system flagged his name, leading to his immediate detention and subsequent handover to the Dera Ghazi Khan police for further procedures.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the police team’s diligence, emphasizing the importance of continuing such operations against proclaimed offenders implicated in severe crimes. He underscored the necessity for consistent collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency, Interpol, and other relevant departments. Punjab Police credited as the source of this press release.
