Punjab Police and Interpol Nab Dangerous Offenders in International Operation

Lahore, In a major international law enforcement effort, Punjab Police, under the direction of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, and Interpol Islamabad have successfully apprehended three dangerous proclaimed offenders from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

According to Punjab Police, the joint operation resulted in the capture and extradition of Wajih-ul-Hassan, involved in a murder in Sialkot three years ago, and Muhammad Suleman, wanted for abducting his children and illegally moving them to Dubai. The third offender, Muhammad Ashraf, was extradited from Saudi Arabia, where he had been evading Bahawalpur police for nine years on charges of murder among other crimes. The operations were coordinated by Punjab Police’s Special Operation Cell, and the arrested individuals were brought back to Pakistan by Inspector Najam Faraz, ensuring the adherence to legal extradition processes.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has praised the team’s efforts and emphasized the importance of stringent legal proceedings to ensure the accused receive appropriate punishments. He also indicated a ramp-up in efforts to capture more proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, highlighting the success of the operations as a step forward in strengthening international cooperation in law enforcement.
