Punjab Police and Interpol Collaborate to Extradite Dangerous Fugitives

Lahore: In a significant joint international operation, the Punjab Police Special Operations Cell, under the supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, alongside Interpol Islamabad, has successfully extradited nine dangerous fugitives from the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan. This operation highlights the ongoing crackdown against criminals absconding abroad and involved in heinous crimes.

According to Punjab Police, the extradited individuals, identified as Irfan Asghar, Farhan Nazakat, Samar Abbas, Najib ullah, Saddam Hussain, Muhammad Rafiq, Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Usman, and Tariq Mehmood, were wanted for various serious offenses including murder and attempted murder. The operation was meticulously planned and executed, with the team led by Inspector Khalid Waryah arriving at Lahore Airport from the United Arab Emirates carrying the fugitives. These arrests are part of a larger effort by Punjab Police, which has seen the arrest and extradition of 59 fugitives from foreign countries this year alone.

Dr. Usman Anwar commended the efforts of the involved officers and emphasized the importance of continuing such operations to ensure that all fugitives are brought to justice. The successful extradition operation underscores the effectiveness of international cooperation in law enforcement and the commitment of the Punjab Police to uphold justice and security.
