Punjab Police Allocates Rs2.55 Million for Children’s Healthcare

Lahore: The Punjab Police has sanctioned Rs2.55 million to aid in the medical treatment of the children of police personnel dealing with severe health conditions, according to a statement from the department. This financial support is part of a broader welfare strategy aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of police families throughout the province.

The funds have been released under the directive of Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General of Police in Punjab. As part of this allocation, significant financial assistance has been provided to several police employees. Constable Muhammad Zeeshan Faqir received Rs1 million for his son’s bone marrow transplant, while Assistant Sub-Inspectors Arshad Hussain and Ghulam Fareed, along with the widow of the late ASI Muhammad Shafi and Constable Waseem Ahmad, were each granted Rs250,000 to facilitate their children’s medical care.

Additional financial support of Rs200,000 each was extended to Data Entry Operator Izhar-ul-Haq and Constable Sajjad Ahmad. Furthermore, ASI Muhammad Naveed, Constable Muhammad Faryad, Constable Ameer Haider, and sanitary worker Muhammad Haroon collectively received Rs150,000.

The disbursement process was overseen by the Welfare Management Committee, which conducted thorough scrutiny before approving the funds. Dr. Usman Anwar has instructed senior officers to continuously implement initiatives that support the welfare of police personnel and their families, ensuring the effective use of available resources.
