Lahore: In an effort to prioritize the health of its personnel and their families, the Punjab Police, under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has released Rs. 2.345 million for medical treatment. This financial assistance aims to support police employees and their families facing various health challenges.
The funds, as detailed by a Punjab Police spokesperson, have been allocated to address specific medical needs within the force. Security Constable Zaka Ullah has been granted Rs. 500,000 for a chest disease, while the widow of martyred Traffic Assistant Liaqat Ali Khan has received Rs. 250,000 for a chronic liver condition.
Additionally, ASI Muhammad Shahid Alvi has been allocated Rs. 200,000 for a heart ailment, and Office Staff Muhammad Irshad has been provided Rs. 200,000 for an eye condition. Corporal Tasawar Abbas will receive Rs. 200,000 for chronic kidney disease treatment.
Several other members of the Punjab Police, including Sub-Inspectors Mubashir Ali and Muhammad Aslam, along with Constable Muhammad Ramzan and Driver Constable Safdar Zamir, have each been given Rs. 100,000 for their healthcare needs. Moreover, ASI Javed Akhtar, Constable Abdul Rauf, and Driver Constable Yasir Sohail have collectively been awarded Rs. 305,000 for medical support.
The allocation was made following careful scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Anwar emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring access to high-quality medical treatment for its employees through partnerships with various institutions.
