Punjab Police Allocates Plots to Families of Martyrs, Advances Housing Mission

Lahore: Punjab Police, under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, is making significant strides in providing housing for the families of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty before 2017. The initiative recently saw the distribution of plots to families of 10 martyrs during a ceremony at the Central Police Office in Faisalabad, where Dr. Anwar handed over ownership documents.

According to Punjab Police, the distributed plots are located in modern residential schemes designed to offer comprehensive facilities. With these recent allocations, a total of 657 plots have been provided to martyr families since the initiative’s inception. Additionally, the Punjab Police Welfare Fund has contributed 38 million rupees to assist with the construction of homes on these plots.

During the ceremony, the families of Martyr Inspector Muhammad Idrees, Sub-Inspector Taj Muhammad, ASI Jahangir Haider, and Constables Zulfiqar Ahmad, Habib Ahmad, Muhammad Afzal, Safdar Hussain, Liaquat Ali, Noor Ahmad, and Maqsood Ahmad received their plot documents. Dr. Usman Anwar acknowledged the efforts of supervisory officers and benefactors who played a role in the allocation process and expressed his gratitude towards them. The families expressed their appreciation for the support provided by IG Punjab and his team.

The event saw the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salah ud din, RPO Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, CPO Faisalabad Kamran Adil, and AIG Welfare Ammara Shirazi. Other officials, including the CPO Multan and DPOs from Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and the RO CTD Rawalpindi, participated via video link, highlighting the widespread support for the initiative within the police community.
