Lahore: The Punjab Police under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken a significant step towards supporting the health and well-being of its personnel and their families by disbursing over 2.1 million PKR for medical treatments. The funds have been allocated to assist officers across various districts with serious health conditions.

According to Punjab Police, the allocations include 1 million PKR for officer Imran Khan from Faisalabad for cancer treatment and 500,000 PKR for Inspector Haroon Ilahi from Multan who is battling a brain tumor. Other significant disbursements include 250,000 PKR to Senior Clerk Muhammad Israr-ul-Haq for medical expenses, and smaller amounts to cover treatments for cancer, eye surgery, and other medical issues among constables in Lahore and other districts.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the critical role of the Welfare Management Committee in scrutinizing the cases to ensure that aid reaches those in genuine need. He has directed that efforts to bolster the health welfare system within the police force should continue unabated, providing essential support to police personnel and their family members facing health challenges.
