Lahore: The Punjab Police has initiated priority measures to expedite the recovery and ensure the best health welfare for its officers and personnel wounded in the line of duty. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has approved the disbursement of over 2.4 million rupees for the medical treatment of those injured in various incidents, including confrontations with criminals.
According to Punjab Police, significant financial assistance has been allocated to several injured members. DSP Waseem Faraz and driver Constable Muhammad Hamid each received 500,000 rupees for their medical expenses. Constables Muhammad Ayub and Waseem Arshad were granted 350,000 rupees each. Furthermore, Constables Zahid Hussain, Nabeel Shehzad, and Ghazi Sub-Inspector Naik Muhammad were each provided 200,000 rupees, while Constable Muhammad Usman received 100,000 rupees for their treatment.
The spokesperson for Punjab Police highlighted that these officers and personnel sustained serious injuries while serving in various districts, including Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, and Vehari. Dr. Anwar has emphasized that ensuring the quick recovery of these injured members is a top priority for the force, indicating that the department is committed to continuing robust support for their well-being.
