Punjab Police Allocates Over 2.1 Million Rupees for Medical Aid to Officers and Families

Lahore: In a decisive move to support the health of its personnel, Punjab Police has released more than 2.1 million rupees for the medical treatment of officers and their families facing serious health challenges. This financial aid was approved during a Welfare Management Committee meeting at the Central Police Office, following directives from IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.

According to Punjab Police, the funding will assist several cases, including retired SP Hafiz Muhammad Ayaz, whose wife will undergo knee surgery, and Trainee Sub-Inspector Uzair Abbas from Lahore, who is battling cancer. Funds were also allocated to the widow of the late ASI Sabir Hussain from Faisalabad for open-heart surgery, among others. Each case received careful examination under the supervision of the Additional IG Welfare and Finance, ensuring targeted assistance where most needed.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the ongoing commitment to enhance the welfare measures for police staff and their dependents, indicating further support in the future.
