Punjab Police Allocate Funds for Injured Officers’ Medical Care

Lahore, Following directives from Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab Police’s Compensation Award Committee convened at the Central Police Office to allocate funds for the treatment of officers injured in the line of duty. The committee approved an additional disbursement of 10 lakh rupees aimed at covering the medical expenses of several police personnel.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting led to the approval of funds for five police constables who suffered injuries while on duty. Each officer, including Constable Muhammad Ali of Lahore Police, Constable Muhammad Shabbir Ahmed, Head Constable Imtiaz Hussain of Faisalabad Police, Constable Adeel Shaukat of Rawalpindi Police, and Constable Muhammad Asif of Sheikhupura Police, received 02 lakh rupees to aid in their recovery.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized the department’s commitment to supporting its personnel, stating that the welfare branch will take full measures to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured officers. He also instructed Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to personally oversee the medical welfare of these officers, ensuring they receive the necessary care to aid their recovery.
