Punjab Pledges Full Support For Youth Development


Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has committed to utilizing all available resources to support the aspirations of the province’s young people, calling them the future of Pakistan and a precious national resource. In a statement commemorating International Youth Day, she expressed pride in the youth, referring to each individual as “a bright star of the nation’s destiny.” She emphasized the Punjab government’s dedication to empowering young people through various initiatives.



The Chief Minister highlighted the “Honhaar” scholarship program, designed to help talented students achieve their educational goals. She also mentioned the “CM Punjab Laptop Scheme,” which provides thousands of young people with access to modern technology and knowledge. Furthermore, the “Khelta” Punjab program offers opportunities for youth across all divisions to excel in sports and other beneficial activities, promoting both physical and mental well-being.



Sharif also drew attention to the e-bike scheme, which offers affordable and eco-friendly transportation to students, fostering independence and mobility. She emphasized that advanced market-based IT training equips young people not just to secure employment, but also to become job creators. The Chief Minister cited young medical graduates working in Maryam Nawaz clinics as examples of youth contributing to providing quality healthcare.



The “Assan Karobar Card” and “Assan Karobar” Finance Scheme were also mentioned as initiatives empowering young people with financial independence. Ongoing internship programs across various government departments offer practical experience and valuable insights for young professionals. Sharif concluded by reaffirming her unwavering faith in the youth of Punjab, expressing immense satisfaction in witnessing their accomplishments and success.
