Punjab Officials Discuss Innovations in Family Planning Services

Lahore, The Director General of Behboodabadi Punjab and CEO of the Punjab Population Innovation Fund (PPIF), Thaman Roy, engaged with various delegations to discuss family planning innovations aimed at improving service delivery and access, particularly in rural areas.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, during the meetings, Roy outlined a four-point agenda to boost family planning efforts in Punjab, which includes increasing access to family planning services, involving more men in the process, reducing costs, and ensuring that family planning information and services are universally available. The focus is on leveraging modern methods and mass media to bring about a change in public attitudes towards family planning and to balance population growth with available resources.

The Population Innovation Fund’s initiatives are designed to make family planning services more accessible, especially for people in rural areas, by using innovative communication strategies. This approach reflects the broader governmental effort to address the high population growth rates in Punjab by implementing modern and effective family planning methods.
