Punjab Law and Order Committee Reviews Security and Prisoner Parole Ahead of Eid

Lahore, The seventh meeting of the Sub-Cabinet Committee on Law and Orders convened in the Home Department, chaired by the Provincial Health Minister and Chairman Sub-Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rafique. The session focused on reviewing the province’s security measures for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha and discussing the parole of prisoners.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the meeting saw participation from several provincial ministers including the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, and the Minister of Transport, Bilal Akbar Khan. The committee approved extraordinary security measures for Eid-ul-Adha, endorsed the appointment of Price Control Magistrates in various districts, and approved the release of two prisoners on parole. Additionally, actions against banned organizations collecting sacrificial skins and measures to curb various public safety threats like drug dealing and illegal kite manufacturing were sanctioned.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including Home Secretary Noor Ul Amin Mengal and Information and Broadcasting Secretary Ahmed Aziz Tarar, among others, who participated via video link. The committee emphasized the need for stringent security and order during the festive period to ensure public safety and compliance with the law.
