Lahore, March 21, 2022 (PPI-OT): Punjab Local Government and Community Development Department Minister Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed in his message on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day has said that ‘’May the land of five rivers be inhabited forever’’.
The centuries-old traditions of Punjab are a source of pride for us even today. The civilization of Punjab is a beautiful bouquet in which flowers of all colours are present with their full blooms. The culture and traditions of Punjab must be passed on to the next generations. Punjab is a land of generous, hospitable and loving people.
Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed said that he is grateful to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for celebrating Punjab Culture Day at the official level. The decision to celebrate Punjab Culture Day at the government level is welcoming.
He said that the people of Punjab are the custodians of their culture and traditions and Punjab is proud of its land, language, attire and traditions. Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed said that the steps taken by the Punjab government for the promotion of culture are commendable and through them, the youth will get acquainted with their traditions. Only nations that are connected to their culture thrive.
