Punjab Human Capital Investment Project Reaches Cash Transfer Milestone

Lahore: The Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) has successfully reached a milestone, transferring cash based on nutrition conditions to 1 million recipients, according to its 15th Project Steering Committee meeting. The initiative, which aims to enhance health and education outcomes, will continue its efforts throughout the year, reflecting a sustained commitment to improving human capital in the region.

According to a statement by Planning and Development Board – Punjab, the meeting was chaired by Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Chairman of the P and D Board. The chairman conducted a thorough review of the project’s progress, focusing on its various components, and stressed the significance of education and health elements within the project.

The meeting saw participation from key figures, including Secretary P and D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, CEO Urban Unit, Mr. Omar Masud, and other senior officials such as Member Education, Mr. Yawar Hussain, and CEO PSPA, Mr. Ali Shahzad. Senior chiefs from different departments, including ECA, RP, and Health, were also in attendance, alongside representatives from related organizations like P and SHD and PHCIP.

The gathering underscored the project’s ongoing efforts to support the populace through strategic interventions in health and education, aiming to create sustainable improvements in the living standards across Punjab.
