Punjab Highway Patrol Reports Significant Weekly Achievements


Lahore, The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released a performance report detailing significant law enforcement activities over the past week, including the arrest of 55 accused criminals and the recovery of 68 stolen vehicles. The report underscores a robust effort to enhance road safety and enforce traffic laws across the region.



According to Punjab Police, the PHP’s operations included extensive checks on highways, utilizing the e-Police Post App to scrutinize over 872,000 individuals. The force conducted thorough inspections of more than 419,700 vehicles, leading to the recovery of stolen property and the issuance of 60,220 e-challans for traffic rule violations. The report also highlights the issuance of 2,094 new driving licenses and the reunion of 14 missing children with their families, as part of the PHP’s community policing efforts.



Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, praised the PHP for their diligent service and emphasized the importance of continuing to safeguard the lives and property of citizens. He noted the PHP’s role in preventing traffic accidents and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations. The report also mentioned the collection of 24 million PKR in fines, actions taken against 218 vehicles using illegal gas cylinders, and various support provided to over 2,230 passengers.



Dr. Anwar has directed the PHP to maintain high standards of performance and regular reporting to the Central Police Office, reflecting ongoing commitments to improving public safety and traffic management across Punjab.
