Punjab Higher Education Department Announces Staff Transfers and Withdrawals

Lahore: The Punjab Higher Education Department has issued a new series of staff transfer and withdrawal orders, affecting a broad range of positions within the department. These changes impact both male and female staff across various levels, including assistant professors and other senior roles, as part of an ongoing administrative adjustment.

According to Higher Education Department – Government of The Punjab, the orders, which were finalized in October 2024, include transfers for male staff, mutual transfers for both male and female establishments, and specific adjustments for female staff at different grade levels. Notably, the department has also issued withdrawal and next-in-merit notices for female staff in both BS-17 and BS-18 and above categories, reflecting a reevaluation of placement decisions based on merit and departmental needs.

These administrative adjustments are intended to optimize staffing across educational institutions in Punjab, ensuring that personnel are effectively aligned with the strategic goals of the Higher Education Department. This move is part of a broader effort to enhance educational outcomes and administrative efficiency within the province’s higher education sector.
