Lahore, In an effort to enhance healthcare services in Punjab, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq presided over a detailed meeting at the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education. The session focused on assessing the progress of ongoing revamping projects across government hospitals in the province, aiming for significant improvements in patient care and facility infrastructure.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Special Secretary Syed Wajid Ali Shah provided an in-depth briefing to Minister Rafiq about the current status of the hospital revamping efforts. Emphasizing the urgency of the initiative, Minister Rafiq expressed a zero-tolerance policy towards any delays in patient treatment, asserting that the heads of government hospitals must actively contribute to the timely completion of these projects.
Highlighting his commitment to elevating the standard of medical care, Rafiq announced plans to conduct visits to various government hospitals, personally ensuring that there is no compromise on patient care, cleanliness, medicine availability, and the presence of medical staff. He tasked the special secretary with the daily monitoring of the revamping projects, underlining the importance of accountability and efficiency in these critical upgrades.
