Lahore, July 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President Fahim Kayani called on the Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House in Lahore. Lauding the role of Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora around the world who have been at the forefront to raise awareness on Kashmir issue, Rehman reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering stand on the Kashmir issue. In his comments during the meeting, Kayani pointed out need for mobilization among the youth in Pakistan.
“Pakistanis are the frontliners in defending Kashmiri right to self-determination and it is incumbent upon people, especially youth, to remain updated about what is happening in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” Kayani said.
As head of all Punjab-based universities, Kayani suggested that the governor hold conferences on Kashmir in Pakistan’s biggest province. While Punjab administration has been holding Kashmir-specific programs, Kayani suggested a Kashmir program “Kashmir key Azadi Baqi hey, Takmeel e Pakistan Baqi hey.”
Meanwhile, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kingdom Raja Fahim Kayani and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmad Butt called on Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq in Islamabad on Monday. Both discussed the matters related to the ongoing liberation movement in IIOJK and issues of overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris. The premier hailed the role of overseas Kashmiris for promoting Kashmir cause in the UK and Europe.
Kayani briefed the premier on the role of overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris in liberation movement and economy of the UK. Pakistanis and Kashmiris settled in UK are playing pivotal role in the economy and national integration of the UK. Kayani said that the overseas Kashmiris will continue to play their role in the uplift UK and continue the support for the right self-determination of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion JKSM Chairman thanked the premier for his undaunted support for the ongoing freedom struggle in IIOJK.
