Lahore, August 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Law and Cooperatives Minister Raja Basharat has said that due to the recent outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, it has been agreed to limit the activities of Urs celebrations at the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hujwary Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) so the common public is requested to adopt preventive measures during gatherings and prayers. He was reviewing the security arrangements made for Urs Hazrat Dataganj Bakhsh in a meeting chaired by him at Civil Secretariat on Friday.

The Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Saeed Al Hassan Shah, Secretary Auqaf, DIG Operations Lahore and Deputy Commissioner Lahore were also present in the meeting. The minister directed that a medical camp should be set up on the occasion of Urs and sanitation arrangements be ensured. He directed LESCO officials to keep the area free from load shedding during Urs days. Raja Basharat directed the district administration to strictly enforce implementation of Corona SOPs among the visitors.
