Punjab Food Minister Outlines Security and Services for Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations in Lahore

Lahore: Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin presided over a meeting to review the preparations for the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations in Lahore. The session focused on ensuring robust security, traffic management, and civic amenities for the event, which marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the meeting saw comprehensive briefings from district commissioners (DCs) and deputy commissioners (DPOs) on local arrangements within the Lahore Division. The discussion also included input from scholars and clerics who proposed measures for enhancing security, traffic control, cleanliness, and lighting across various districts.

Minister Yasin emphasized the urgency of addressing roadway repairs and managing traffic flow along the procession routes. He confirmed that decorations such as chandeliers and banners would be installed extensively throughout the city. Additionally, following directives from the Chief Minister of Punjab, the local administration will provide food for participants of the processions, echoing the communal harmony and unity observed during Muharram and the Urs of Data Sahib.

District officials from Sheikhupura, Nankana, and Kasur were also involved, contributing via video link to the planning efforts for the observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in their regions.
