RAWALPINDI, The Punjab Council of the Arts (PAC) is set to elevate Punjab’s culture on the global stage, beginning with collaborative cultural efforts between Pakistan and China. Syed Bilal Haider, Executive Director of PAC, has taken a historical step towards the international recognition of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage.
According to Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi, the initiative kickstarted with a meeting between Syed Bilal Haider and Zhang Heqing, the Chinese Cultural Consul. The executive director proposed an exchange of cultural delegations, including students, artisans, and entrepreneurs to strengthen the cultural bonds between Pakistan and China. The proposals were met with approval by Zhang Heqing, who agreed to immediate implementation of these cultural exchange suggestions.
In a significant move, the two officials also discussed plans for a two-day Pak-China Festival to be held in Lahore. This event aims to bring artists from both nations together to exhibit their work and celebrate the fusion of Pakistani and Chinese cultures. In addition to the discussions, Syed Bilal Haider presented a token of appreciation to the Chinese Cultural Consul, symbolizing the mutual respect and the growing cultural partnership between the two countries.
