Punjab CM Announces Expansion at Children’s Hospital Faisalabad After Surprise Visit

Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, after an unannounced visit to Children’s Hospital Faisalabad, ordered urgent expansion and enhancement measures at the medical facility. During the visit, he encountered three children and their mothers sharing a single bed, and makeshift wards established in kitchen spaces.

Upon hearing complaints from mothers about the guards demanding unauthorized payments, the Chief Minister directed prompt legal and departmental action against them. Addressing the dire conditions, CM Mohsin Naqvi instructed the addition of 150 beds and initiated the creation of a detailed plan for the hospital’s comprehensive improvement.

CM Naqvi took a hands-on approach, inspecting the available medical facilities, cleanliness protocols, and meeting patients during his visit. He urged constant enhancements in the hospital’s care standards and services. The event was also attended by key provincial officials, including the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Faisalabad Division, and others.
