Lahore: In a significant development for healthcare in Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today inaugurated a new emergency block at Indus Hospital. The opening marks a crucial step in the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance medical services across the province.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, “The Chief Minister took a tour of various departments within the hospital, inspecting operations and interacting with patients.” Maryam Nawaz expressed concern for the patients’ well-being and directed the hospital authorities to promptly address any issues they faced.
During her visit, the Chief Minister also emphasized the need for a collaborative strategy to improve government hospitals in partnership with the Indus Trust. A focus of this initiative is to bolster pediatric heart surgery capabilities. Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the health sector, underscoring ongoing endeavors to provide superior care to the populace.
Additionally, she highlighted the vital role of the air ambulance service in saving lives, illustrating its impact on emergency medical response in the region.
