She highlighted the significance of the Markhor, found in regions like Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kohistan, and Hunza, as a symbol of the country’s natural heritage.

The Chief Minister stated that the day serves as a reminder of the commitment to biodiversity conservation and maintaining ecological balance. She urged collective efforts to safeguard not only the Markhor but all endangered species.

Sharif mentioned the ongoing initiatives in Punjab aimed at wildlife protection, underscoring the government’s dedication to this cause.
