Punjab Chief Minister Stresses Wildlife Conservation on International Day of Markhor

Lahore: The International Day of Markhor was marked with a message from Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, emphasizing the need to protect Pakistan’s national animal and wildlife. She highlighted the significance of the Markhor, found in regions like Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kohistan, and Hunza, as a symbol of the country’s natural heritage.

The Chief Minister stated that the day serves as a reminder of the commitment to biodiversity conservation and maintaining ecological balance. She urged collective efforts to safeguard not only the Markhor but all endangered species.
