Punjab Chief Minister Advocates for Plastic-Free Environment on International Plastic Bag Free Day

Islamabad: International Plastic Bag Free Day is being observed today, with initiatives aimed at raising public awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution. Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, delivered a message stressing the urgent need for action against plastic waste and reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to eradicate plastic bags.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chief Minister Sharif called on citizens to support the government’s enforcement of the ban on the production, sale, and use of plastic bags. She emphasized the vision of a plastic-free Punjab, aspiring for cleaner rivers, parks, and urban areas free from the blight of plastic pollution.
