Lahore: The Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan, called on political parties to place national interests above personal goals during a news conference held in the city today. He emphasized the critical role of dialogue in resolving issues and the importance of adhering to constitutional guidelines for the functioning of state institutions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan highlighted the necessity for constructive talks as the sole solution to national issues. He pointed out that the constitution provides clear instructions on the operations of key institutions such as Parliament, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Further, the Speaker disclosed that he has recently reached out to the Election Commission of Pakistan with a request to notify reserved seats as stipulated by the constitution and law, reinforcing the need for lawful processes to be followed rigorously.

Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan reiterated his firm stance on the implementation of the law, asserting that it should be executed in its true letter and spirit to uphold the integrity of state functions and ensure the stability of the nation.
