Public Service Commission Punjab Announces New Examination Procedure for Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar Posts

Lahore: The Punjab Public Service Commission has recently publicized several job openings and an update to the examination process for Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar positions. The commission has introduced a new two-phase examination procedure aimed at streamlining the selection process for multiple posts across various divisions.

According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the organization has listed a total of 124 vacancies, which include 14 Tehsildar (BS-16) positions available as of October 14, 2023, and 42 Tehsildar (BS-16) (Ministerial Quota) along with 68 Naib Tehsildar (BS-14) (Ministerial Quota) positions. These latter posts are set to be advertised on July 19, 2024.

The Commission’s newly adopted examination format involves a bifurcated approach where initial testing will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). In Phase-I of the examination, all candidates will undertake the MCQ-based paper. Phase-II will only involve candidates who have successfully passed the MCQ phase, who will then be invited to complete the remaining papers of the examination. This decision allows the Commission to make administrative and financial considerations on a case-by-case basis, as stated by the Chairman of the Commission.

This notice serves to inform all aspiring candidates of the updated examination process and upcoming job opportunities within the Punjab Public Service Commission.
