Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that public service and economic relief stand as the government’s foremost priorities. In a meeting held in Lahore, she outlined the administration’s commitment to providing essential food items and other necessities at reduced prices.

Chief Minister Nawaz highlighted the significant decrease in inflation rates during Ramadan, attributing it to the government’s efforts. She noted that this reduction was achieved “by the grace of Allah Almighty,” marking a positive shift compared to previous years.

During the meeting, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of Model Bazaars, which have been instrumental in providing economic relief. It was reported that citizens experienced a 31 percent relief, saving a total of 1.11 billion rupees through purchases in Sasta Bazaars during the holy month of Ramadan.

This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to easing the financial burdens on the public while ensuring access to essential commodities.
