Public Clarification Issued on Conviction of Sindh Public Service Commission Officer

Hyderabad: The Sindh Public Service Commission has issued a clarification regarding the conviction of Mr. Mumtaz Ali Channa, Controller of Examinations, by the NAB Court in Hyderabad. The commission emphasized that the conviction is unrelated to the officer’s current role in the commission and concerns past activities during his service at the Board of Revenue Sindh.

According to Public Service Commission Sindh, the conviction pertains to Mr. Mumtaz Ali Channa’s tenure as Assistant Commissioner in BS-17, a position he held in the Board of Revenue Sindh. The commission reassured the public that this matter has no connection to the present workings of the Sindh Public Service Commission, and all official activities will continue uninterrupted.

The Commission also addressed concerns among aspiring candidates, reaffirming that the arrest of Mr. Mumtaz Ali Channa will not impact ongoing operations. All official timelines, as posted on the commission’s website, will proceed as scheduled, and the institution’s work will remain unaffected.
