Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, held a bilateral meeting with the Global System for Mobile Communications Association during the Internet Governance Forum 2025 in Norway. The discussions were centered on advancing collaboration in mobile broadband, spectrum policy, digital inclusion, and telecom innovation.

The PTA chairman highlighted the nation’s dedication to boosting digital connectivity and improving regulatory frameworks. He also stressed the importance of fostering an environment conducive to investment and the adoption of new technologies.

GSMA’s leadership commended PTA’s regulatory initiatives and expressed continued support for Pakistan’s digital objectives. The engagement underscores PTA’s commitment to forming international partnerships and maintaining its role as a progressive telecom regulatory body.
