PTA and APNIC Conduct Cybersecurity Workshops in Lahore and Islamabad

Islamabad: Over three days, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with APNIC, held workshops on “Incident Response and CERT” in Lahore and Islamabad, engaging a broad spectrum of cybersecurity experts from across the country.

According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority announcement issued on 05 August 2024, the Lahore session was conducted in partnership with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), featuring Mr. Adli Wahid, a Senior Internet Security Specialist from APNIC. The workshops brought together experts from PTA, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT), and various telecom operators to discuss and train in the complexities of cybersecurity incident handling, including forensic analysis management.

The event culminated in a certificate distribution ceremony, with PTA acknowledging the significant contribution of APNIC to the success of the workshops and emphasizing the ongoing commitment to enhancing the skills of the cybersecurity community within Pakistan.
