PSQCA Conducts Crackdown on Illegal Stockists of Forvil Cosmetics in Karachi

Karachi, The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has taken decisive action against illegal stockists and distributors of Forvil Cosmetic Products in Karachi. This crackdown, led by the authority’s team, is part of a larger effort to ensure compliance with established standards and quality control measures.

According to Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, the operation was initiated under the directives of Ms. Ismat Gul Khattak, Director General of PSQCA, and led by Mr. Mehmood Hussain Soomro, Assistant Director/Incharge (CAH) of PSQCA-Hyderabad. The move was prompted by complaints from the Economic Journalist Forum about the quality of Forvil Cosmetics Products available in the market. The PSQCA team targeted two different stockists, distributors, and traders in their operation.

The crackdown resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of unlicensed Bio Amla Shampoo at M/s. Al-Haram Traders in Old Fateh Mill, Tando Yousuf, Hyderabad. This establishment was found to be involved in the illegal stock and sale of mandatory items without a CM License from PSQCA, leading to the seizure of their stocks. On the other hand, M/s. MS Traders in Shahid Gadi, Real Marketing, Plot # A-53, SITE Area, Hyderabad, was found to have ceased their business dealings with Forvil Cosmetic Products and confirmed that they had no stock of the products on their premises.

Notices were issued to both the manufacturer and the stockist involved for compliance. The Assistant Director/Incharge of PSQCA-Hyderabad emphasized the authority’s commitment to eradicating substandard products from the market to ensure consumer safety and satisfaction.

The Director General of PSQCA reinforced the message that strict actions will be taken against manufacturers of illegal products, and substandard items will not be tolerated in the market, as per the directives of the Federal Government. He also urged officers to maintain honesty in their duties and commended their efforts in the crackdown.
