Provincial Minister Emphasizes Importance of Heavy Machinery for Infrastructure in Quetta

Quetta: During a comprehensive tour of the E and M Workshop Division in Kohita, Provincial Minister for Communications and Construction, Mir Salim Ahmad Khosa, underscored the critical role of heavy machinery in maintaining and developing the region’s infrastructure. The minister stressed the need for machinery to be perpetually operational to handle various situational demands, particularly during emergencies such as rains and floods.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Khosa, accompanied by Secretary Communications and Construction Lal Jan Jaffer, Chief Engineer E and M Mehrullah Jogizai, and other officials, visited the workshop where they were briefed by Executive Engineer E and M Habibur Rahman. The discussions focused on the readiness and maintenance of the machinery which is vital for the construction and development projects across the province. The Secretary emphasized the urgency of repairing equipment that is in poor condition to ensure the department’s preparedness for any emergency.

During the visit, the minister and the secretary directed that all machinery should be maintained in ready condition and instructed that employee attendance be strictly monitored to enhance operational efficiency. They also reassured that solving the workshop’s ongoing issues is a priority, aiming for rapid repair cycles and alignment of the workshop operations with contemporary requirements.
