Lahore, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq has taken immediate notice of the roof collapse at the DHQ Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in Gujarat and directed an investigation into the incident. The collapse occurred while the roof was undergoing repairs, leading to concerns about safety and accountability.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the provincial minister emphasized that an immediate investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the collapse and identify those responsible. Khawaja Salman Rafiq instructed officials from the Communication and Works (C and W) department to reach the site promptly to assess the situation and assist with the ongoing rescue operations.

Rescue teams are actively engaged in rescue efforts, and the provincial minister has requested a comprehensive report from the relevant authorities to understand the incident’s details and prevent future occurrences. The investigation will aim to establish accountability and ensure that safety standards are upheld in all repair and construction activities at public health facilities.
